Advising and Registration for Fall Term 2010
at
Oregon Coast Community College

OCCC Fall 2010 Course Schedule

OCCC views academic advising as an important component in student success. All students are strongly encouraged to meet with an advisor before beginning study at the College. Advisors can help the student understand the College procedures and policies, as well as answer many questions. Advisors will assist with academic planning, financial aid, registration, and review of placement test scores. Advisors also will help students develop short and long-term plans, whether they are planning to obtain a transfer degree, a vocational certificate, or taking a classes to upgrade skills.

Students should make an appointment to meet with an advisor for initial and complex advising questions. Student Services’ staff try to answer individual questions on an “as needed, walk-in” basis. Advising is available in Newport, Lincoln City, and Waldport by appointment (541-867-8503).
